Start a Virtuous Cycle & Create a Winning Team

A virtuous cycle is defined as a positive reinforcing loop that produces favourable results and continues in the momentum of its direction.
Once you create success and maintain the activities that brought about that success (i.e. stick to the basics), success will continue to breed greater success.
The key to a high performing team is how well team members work together. If their individual performances are synergized (remember 1 + 1 = 3) then the team’s power can grow exponentially, thus creating a virtuous cycle.
But what are the “basics” that synergise the efforts of the individuals within a team into a high performing team that delivers favourable business results, and still keeps improving over time?
The “basics” are the clarity of the communication between team members, the quality of their relationships and the depth of the trust they have in each other.
Of the three, the best place to start a virtuous cycle is to improve the clarity of communication amongst team members. This creates a positive reinforcing loop that enhances the quality of the relationships which in turn increases the trust among team members.
